You will be assigned to a group whose job is to summarize the main ideas of a given book chapter. The particular chapter will be decided later in the semester.
In particular, you and your group will:
1. Create a 10-15min presentation and deliver it using Wimba tools to the class
2. Create a job aid detailing 3-5 instructional design practices / strategies that can be taken from your chapter. Do some additional research on the topic of your presentation. The job aid should provide directive advice on what to do as a designer and how to do it.
3. Engage the class in some sort of activity (10 more min) that allows for practice of the concepts/principles in your presentation and job aid.
4. Answer any questions from the group.
Post any materials relevant to the presentation (PPTs, Documents, URLs, etc.) to the discussion board prior to your presentation. Note you may also construct activities and house materials on your own website and provide the URL during the presentation.
Grading is based on the quality of your job aid, your presentation and activity, and your ability to work as part of a group. Rubric(s) will be provided with full details on grading this project.

Tip: Challenge yourself to communicate visually if you do not do so already. It takes more time but makes for a better user experience.
